In the first five months of this year, Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Bank (Sacombank) obtained VND966 billion in pre-tax profits, rising 46.4% from the same period last year and accounting for 40.3% of the whole years plan.
Sacombank has got approval from the State Bank of Vietnam on a plan to increase its chartered capital from VND6.7 trillion to VND9.18 trillion this year. Under the plan, the bank will issue 110.5 million shares to pay 2009 dividend at the 100:15 ratio, sell 134 million shares to existing shareholders at the 100:20 ratio, and 13.4 million shares to staff at the price of VND12,000 each.
