Hanoi-Chu Lai direct air route in operation

Vietnam Airlines opened a direct air route from Hanoi to Chu Lai airport in the central province of Quang Nam on June 2. It will run four regular fights per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, using Fokker 70 aircraft.

According to the Chairman of Vietnam Airlines Administration Board, Nguyen Si Hung, the newly-launched air route aims to meet the increasing demand from local people and foreign tourists. This will also help strengthen links between Quang Nam province and the countrys two largest socio-economic and cultural centres, Hanoi and HCM City.

The opening of the Hanoi-Chu Lai air route has increased the number of Vietnam Airlines domestic routes to 34 from the three big cities of Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City to 20 provinces and cities across the country.
