Vietnam First Oil Refinery Sells 5,630 Tons of Petroleum Products

Vietnam’s first oil refinery, Dung Quat, had sold a total of 5,630 tons of petroleum products on the domestic market since its operation Feb 22 to Jun 30, said the state-owned oil monopoly PetroVietnam group. The volume included 3,880 tons of kerosene and 1,750 tons of diesel oil (DO), the group said.

The $3.1 billion refinery has produced diesel, kerosene, gasoline A92 and A95, jet fuel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).   The plant pumped out July 4 its first 6,800 cubic meters of LPG to serve the domestic market out of the total 13,000 cubic meters of LPG that it has already produced.   On July 8, the plant will ship 7,000 cubic meters of gasoline A92 to market out of a total 20,000 cubic meters that it has produced.   It is expected to produce 2.6 million tons of petroleum products, including nearly one million tons of gasoline, this year.
